The backyard of this attractive Langley, BC home had a lot of potential because of the very tall and large old growth conifer trees that have been there for years. It was important to make sure their new flower bed design was conceived in such a way that it would highlight their conifer trees and make them a focal point. Once the flower bed shape was determined, the existing sod was removed. Shade loving plants such as hostas, ferns and a Camellia tree were planted to achieve a west coast look. In addition, double impatien flowers were planted to add some warm colour to the area. A new irrigation system was installed and finally, new high quality flower bed soil was added to create a raised flower bed. The result is a very clean and classic look that is relatively easy to care for in the years to come.
